MEET DR. SANTIAGO HOYOS
Dr. Hoyos has a particular interest in helping with:
Depression and anxiety
Anger management & emotion regulation
Chronic pain and trauma
Addictions and Substance misuse
Dr. Santiago Hoyos provides assessments and counselling to adults, offering services in both English and Spanish.
In his work with clients, Santiago draws from several empirically-supported approaches, including mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (mCBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational psychotherapy, and Emotion-focused Therapy (EFT).
Santiago completed his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Medaille College in Buffalo, where he previously earned a Maters’ degree in Psychology. He has held clinical positions at the John Howard Society of Niagara and the District School Board of Niagara, at Pathstone Mental Health, at Dr. Andrea Miller & Associates, and at Brookside Psychologists.
