MEET DR. SANTIAGO HOYOS

Dr. Hoyos has a particular interest in helping with:

Depression and anxiety 

Anger management & emotion regulation

Chronic pain and trauma

Addictions and Substance misuse

Santiago Hoyos sees clients in the Burlington and Milton clinics, as well as offering virtual sessions. He provides assessments and counselling to adults, offering services in both English and Spanish.

In his work with clients, Dr. Hoyos draws from several empirically-supported approaches, including mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (mCBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational psychotherapy, and Emotion-focused Therapy (EFT).

Dr. Hoyos completed his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Medaille College in Buffalo, where he had previously earned a Masters’ degree in Psychology. He has worked for the John Howard Society of Niagara and the District School Board of Niagara. He has also held clinical positions at Pathstone Mental Health, at Dr. Andrea Miller & Associates and at Brookside Psychologists.
