Dr. Mirmahmoud (Mahmoud) Mirnasab works in the Burlington, Oakville and Milton clinics, as well as offering virtual sessions. He provides clinical assessment and interventions to children and adolescents with a wide range of Emotional, Behavioral and Cognitive challenges, including: Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD), Anxiety and Mood, Learning disabilities, Habit Disorders, Anger Management difficulties, Low Self-esteem and school-related challenges. He also offers individual parent management training (PMT) sessions and psychoeducation in parent-child relationships.

Dr. Mirnasab completed his Ph.D. in Psychology & Special Education at the University of Tehran in 2006 and held a lectureship position at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
For ten years, he worked at the University of Tabriz as an Associate Professor, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Psychology & Education and Head of the Education Department.
In addition, he held a clinical position at Razi Psychiatric Hospital of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Mirnasab received a second M.A. degree from Brock University in Child & Youth Studies and provided psychological services at Pathstone Mental Health from 2019-2022.

In treatment sessions with children and adolescents, he focuses on the client’s strengths, interests and unique personality to build a strong rapport before using a variety of evidence-based interventions His primary therapy approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). He also applies Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused techniques, Play Therapy and Mindfulness-Based techniques when appropriate.

Dr. Mirnasab has authored several scientific articles in peer-reviewed Journals and published books in the field of child and adolescent psychopathology. Dr Mirnasab
is a member of Ontario Psychological Association. He offers services in English,
Persian and Turkish (Azerbaijani).
