MEET DR. CHRIS PARRISH

Dr. Chris Parrish

Dr. Parrish is the Clinical Director of the Mindful Living Centre. He works in the Burlington clinic and offers virtual sessions and has special interests in helping with:

Fear, anxiety and worry
Marital counseling and relationship issues
Life direction guidance for emerging adults

*Dr. Parrish is not currently accepting new clients*

I believe that clients deserve to be heard and understood as individuals, and that treatment should be flexibly tailored to meet their needs and goals. Rather than adopting a “one size fits all” approach to therapy, clients who choose to work with me will find that I create a highly collaborative therapeutic environment where they can learn customized strategies for addressing life’s challenges, promoting personal growth, and enhancing well-being.

I enjoy working with adults, couples and adolescents looking for guidance and support with their goals. I view therapy as a means of helping clients build on their existing strengths while discovering new tools and resources that promote increased self-awareness, improved coping and enhanced quality of life.

When working with me, the initial sessions will be used to develop a shared understanding of  the challenges you want to address and collaboratively set treatment goals.  We will then use a combination of research-supported methods such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness to help you achieve your goals!

I am a founding and accredited member of the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (CACBT), and I am also a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, the Ontario Psychological Association, and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.

Reach out today so we can begin empowering you to live better!

Hi, I’m Dr. Chris Parrish. I am a licensed Psychologist and certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, and I enjoy working with adults, couples and adolescents who are looking for guidance and support while navigating life’s inevitable struggles.

I view therapy as a way to help clients build on their existing strengths while also learning new strategies to increase self-awareness, improve coping, and enhance quality of life!

Rather than adopting a “one size fits all” approach to therapy, I strongly believe that clients deserve to be heard and understood as individuals, and that treatment should be tailored to meet their needs.

If you work with me, we will use our initial sessions to develop a shared understanding of the issues you want to address, collaboratively set treatment goals, and use research-supported methods such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness to help you achieve your goals!

Please give us a call if this sounds like a good fit – I look forward to hearing from you!
