The Mindful Living Centre is a private psychology practice with offices in Burlington, Milton and Oakville Ontario, whose core purpose is to empower clients to live better.

We are searching for new Associates who:

Fully licensed Psychologists, Psychological Associates and Social Workers.

Practicum and Post-Internship students seeking supervision.

Special consideration will be given to candidates who possess one or more “niche” areas of expertise (e.g., Training in IBCT and/or EFT-focused couples counseling, formal training in DBT, MBCT, chronic pain management, counseling, etc.).

What are the key considerations when joining a psychologist practice?

Do I need previous clinical experience to apply? Are you accepting applications from Master’s students?

We are currently welcoming applications from students who are enrolled in a doctoral-level program or who have completed a Master’s Degree with several years of clinical experience.

Who is your ideal candidate?

Our ideal candidate:

 

  • Has completed (or is enrolled in) an APA and/or CPA accredited PhD or PsyD program
  • Possesses extensive training and experience in CBT, and the ability to comfortably incorporate elements of related approaches (e.g., MBCT, ACT, DBT, EFT)
  • Has excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

Will I be able to count my practicum hours toward my degree?

Practicum students should be able to count any clinical experience gained at The Mindful Living Centre toward their graduate degree, though applicants are advised to check with their Program’s Director of Clinical Training.

Do you offer supervision? Are your supervisors licensed?

Yes, we have several fully-licensed Psychologists offering supervision to practicum students, and post-internship students seeking supervision toward licensure with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

What can I expect from supervision at The Mindful Living Centre?

Our supervisors take an individually tailored and developmentally-appropriate approach to supervision, and are genuinely invested in your learning and professional growth.  The frequency of supervision meetings is determined in accordance with your program’s requirements and clinical case load.

Does The Mindful Living Centre participate in Match Day?

Yes, we participate in the match day process for practicum applications, though we also accept applications at any time throughout the calendar year.

Can I complete an internship at The Mindful Living Centre?

We are currently in the process of preparing our internship program, and expect to be able to welcome interns for the 2023-24 academic year

Is your site APA or CPA accredited?

We are not currently an accredited site, though we are planning to seek accreditation of our internship program in the near future

Are your practicum positions paid?

Yes, we offer paid practicum positions and stipends, except when not permitted by students’ programs of study

Can I work remotely?

Yes, our Associates have the flexibility and choice to work in-office or remotely to best suit their schedules and the needs of our clients.
